Sorry about the long wait. I actually forgot I had a blog. Heh heh...
Anyways, I've been doing some thinking. A really bad thing just happened to my brother. It was one of those it-was-a-mistake-and-yes-it's-unfair-but-there's-not-much-anyone-can-do things.
If this had happened to me, I'd've been raging and screaming. I'd be out for blood. Archie? He's being, well... He's being a man about it. He's upset, yes, but he's taking it in stride. He said that he understood where everyone was coming from and such.
And y'know... I really admire him for it. Not only has he brought certain rules to light in his school, but he's even managed to gain some respect from his peers from it.
And the weird part is, I almost knew something was gonna happen. The night before all of this exploded, I was pretty restless and worried, so as I was going to sleep, I said, "Well, come what may, Lord, and may it be for your Work."
And so it is. Good came out of bad, to use a cliche.
And the best part is that my brother's a hero to me. If it weren't for this, I wouldn't have seen what sort of man my little brother is becoming.
And I'm proud of him. Love you, Archie!!!

I'm Screwed Beyond Words
So, as you have probably guessed from my facebook posts, I'm not doing so well in Algebra.
As a matter of fact, the chance of me failing (which will mean severe loss in scholarship) is very, very high. Why is this? BECAUSE I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS STUFF BEFORE!!!!!
The book, and my teacher, expects everyone to already have learned basic algebra. Well guess what! I haven't! Tada!!!!
So, I can't afford a tutor, and I can't do this on my own because I have no clue what's going on. Even if I pass all of the worksheets (which is becoming harder as we go along), I still don't know HOW to do everything, so I'm going to fail.
I'd drop the class, but even then the result is the same. Just without all of the fuss.
The part that kills me is that my previous advisor didn't even give me a choice. I didn't know that I could take other maths. So, I could be taking statistics or practical math and be passing, but instead I'm trapped in this hell-hole.
And I feel like it's my fault.
This just sucks. It just really, really sucks.

Costume
So, every year, I wonder and fret about what I'll dress up like for Halloween. (Gimme a break! I love dress-up!) The main problems stem from what is sold and how expensive it is. I mean, the least revealing are the most expensive. (More cloth, I imagine.)
My daddy actually gave me an idea! I have a simple black formal gown and several black heels, as well as a pearl necklace. What if I were to purchase a mardi gra mask and elbow length black gloves?
Score! This could work! I even have the option of purchasing a parisol. (Probably not gonna happen. I can dream though....)
