I Can't Believe I'm Saying This....

But... I think I'm starting to hate band. I look towards it with dread, and I breathe a sigh of relief when it's over. I mean, I love the music, I love the show, I love the directors. The problem is... I'm having issues with the marching. I'm doing the best I can considering how fast we're going, but according to my section leaders, I'm apparently the only one screwing up.

I know I suck, but if you're gonna correct me, can you at least do it politely? Y'know, instead of yelling at me or talking down to me like I can't understand a word you're saying?

I know that they're just trying to help, but part of the problem is that I find it very hard to respect them. Not only are they making big mistakes themselves, but they act way younger. They cuss and treat each other like dirt. They say that they're just joking, but....

*sigh* I'll be glad when marching season is over and we focus on the music.

Reflection of Time

Well, it's currently 2:05 pm, and I have just gotten lunch. Today has been so fast and busy! If the hardest day in Pre-K is the third, then is the hardest day in college the fourth?

Anyway, I'm sitting here in the HLLC (alone for once!), and thinking. Our perceptions of time are so vulnerable to change. When we are little children we never think of the past, of the future. It was always now, now, now. (Are we there yet? Are we there yet?) When we reach out teens in JH and HS, we bear some responsibility. So we manage to wrap our mind around weeks and months, some of us even conceive years. Yet everything seems so far off as time lackadaisically moves foreward. College? Forget about it! I have years to plan ahead!

Then we hit our senior year in high school and all of the sudden, it's there. College, the future that never seemed it would come. Time has suddenly started to roll down hill, gaining more and more speed until we feel we will never catch up. But finally.... we do. We arrive at the dorm, unpack our bags and go to class. Time has slowed down for me. This week feels as though it's been forever. I feel as thought I have been in college my whole life instead of just two weeks.

I don't know. Maybe all of this is just ramblings. All I know for sure is that my burger is geting cold. Fliggage everyone!

Show of hands

Who actually reads this thing? I mean, I feel as though this is basically a diary that the world can read. But I don't know. Maybe that is what this is. Lord knows that I need a way to get my thoughts out without wasting paper, ink, or MP board space. :) (Sorry about my ramblings about that iPod thing. I'll probably just go ahead and try it. Maybe. I'll talk one of my tech-guru cousins first.) Anyway...Ithough t that y'all might enjoy seeing a jumble of a chorus that I thought of.

I was left out in the cold;
You let me into Your heart.
Straight out of the fire And into Your arms

Maybe that's just abridge. I don't really know. Just came up with it from a dream last night. Needs some work. A lot of work.

Anyhow, good night everyone. Fliggage!

School Starts Tomorrow

Classes start tomorrow. My schedule is frightening. I don't even have time for lunch! But in all, I'm pretty excited for class. It should prove take a pretty neat experience. I have my new computer all setup. In fact I am truly writing this blog. With an actualpen. It is truly legit, as my friend, Lindsay, would say. It reads my handwriting pretty well. But, I keep getting palm prints on it. Kinda annoying, actually. But, this sucker is great for taking notes. (I still type faster, though) By the way, for those who care to know, I now have a Skype account. So, look me up!. Well, I have things to do, so see y'all! Fliggage!

Yayayayayayayayay!!

Okay, I have (finally) a computer, which means I can go online again.

Well, I'm in college, and we're going through this thing called Vision Quest. I think it's a ploy to keep the fish from missing home or something. It's fun... for the most part. I've been here since Sunday for the start of band, and I've had maybe an hour to myself.

Let's just say I'm pretty exhausted. I love hanging out and such, but I need alone time.

The main reason I'm not on a photo scavenger hunt is because I get pretty carsick on things like that.

*happy scream*

Okay, remember how I mentioned that my kittens were missing? WE FOUND ONE OF THEM! I have no idea where Byron is, but Blake! Blake is home! One of my fuzzy prodigals has returned!!!!!

Stupid Texas State Law

Okay, for those of you who don't know quite well, I am needle-phobic. I mean, literally terrified.

Did you know that there's a law in place in Texas that won't let you move into a college dorm without getting a meningitus shot? There is!

I just got it today. Owie.... :( However, it wasn't as bad as I thought. So mayhaps there's hope for me yet.
